Vacancy available: we are hiring a gardener in Bond County, Illinois. You will work in a botanical garden. Requirements: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance The role involves: • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
