The role involves fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 2+ years on the tools preferred. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
