Immediate opening: we are hiring a commis chef in Briscoe County, Texas. You will be based at a fast-food outlet. You should have: • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies The role involves follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; prepare the mise en place before each service; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations.
