Press machine operator wanted in Cornwall

Vacancy available: we are hiring a press machine operator in Cornwall, England. You will work in a sheet metal stamping unit. The role involves load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components. You should have: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards 3+ years on the tools preferred. £1,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
