Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane operator in Stephenson County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will read and interpret the load chart before every lift; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work 2+ years on the tools preferred.
