Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Kent, England. The job is in a tool room. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges Day-to-day duties: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
