Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in DeWitt County, Illinois. The job is in a tool room. Day-to-day duties: • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Write and edit G-code programs at the control What we are looking for: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
