Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Keana, Nasarawa State. You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Your main tasks: • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity Part-time with flexible hours.
