Now hiring: we are hiring a head baker in Potter County, Texas. You will be based at an in-store supermarket bakery. You should have: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Able to work early-morning and night shifts You will decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; score the top of loaves before baking; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter.
