Urgent requirement: sand plant operator (Texas)

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Starr County, Texas. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding You will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
