Plant operator (dozer) wanted in Amelia County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Amelia County, Virginia. You will be based on a road construction project. What we are looking for: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes On the job you will handle: • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving Part-time with flexible hours.
