Heavy equipment operator • Hanover County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Hanover County, Virginia. You should have: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing You will grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
