Vacancy available: sausage maker (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in Scott County, Kansas. You will be based in a meat processing plant. The role involves: • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Six days a week, one day off.
