Now hiring: we are hiring a canteen cook in Jackson County, Texas. You will work in a hospital or office canteen. The role involves keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking 3+ years on the tools preferred.
