Now hiring: we are hiring an oven operator in San Saba County, Texas. You will work at a busy bakery. Your main tasks: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Score the top of loaves before baking • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing Ideal candidate: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Basic cake decorating and piping skills 6+ years on the tools preferred.
