Immediate opening: gang bricklayer (Katsina State)

Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Batsari, Katsina State. You will work on a busy housing site. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts 1+ years on the tools preferred.
