We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Lancashire, England. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day to day you will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer £2,350 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
