Now hiring: we are hiring a site dozer operator in Barrow County, Georgia. The job is at a civil contractor's yard. Requirements: • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) On a typical shift you will form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
