Ideal candidate: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Day-to-day duties: • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
