Brick mason wanted in Ughelli North

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Ughelli North, Delta State. You will be based on a busy housing site. Your main tasks: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
