We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in DeWitt County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
