Vacancy available: we are hiring an ironing operator in Majuli, Assam. You will work in a tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Pay around ₹38,000 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
