Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Itas/Gadau, Bauchi State. You should have: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Understanding of hand and radio signals On a typical shift you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
