What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge.
