Port container crane operator — Davis County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Davis County, Utah. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. You will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift. Requirements: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Part-time with flexible hours.
