Moulder — Gwer West

Join our team: we are hiring a moulder in Gwer West, Benue State. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
