Join our team: brick and block layer (Benue State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Kwande, Benue State. The job is at a residential building site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
