Urgent requirement: crawler crane operator (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Saline County, Illinois. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. The role involves carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. Ideal candidate: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
