Immediate opening: we are hiring a site carpenter in Saint Clair County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet What we are looking for: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience Full-time, day shift.
