Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in Bende, Abia State. The job is in a meat processing plant. Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required On a typical shift you will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; season and marinate meat on request; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
