Join our team: we are hiring a punch press operator in Porter County, Indiana. Ideal candidate: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses The role involves: • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
