Ideal candidate: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels The role involves: • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
