Great opportunity: we are hiring a carpenter in McLean County, Illinois. You should have: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings On a typical shift you will fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet.
