Vacancy available: we are hiring a halal butcher in Baure, Katsina State. The job is in a hotel or restaurant butchery. What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers The role involves dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
