We are recruiting: we are hiring a butcher in Macomb County, Michigan. You will be based at a halal meat counter. You will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
