Vacancy available: head butcher (Adamawa State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a head butcher in Hong, Adamawa State. The job is in a supermarket meat department. On a typical shift you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; season and marinate meat on request; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Six days a week, one day off.
