Join our team: we are hiring a meat cutter in Scott County, Illinois. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. The role involves dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Meals and transport allowance provided.
