Ironing operator — Cornwall

Great opportunity: we are hiring an ironing operator in Cornwall, England. You will work at a dry cleaner's. Your main tasks: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets 1+ years on the tools preferred.
