Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes The role involves: • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
