Groundskeeper — Alachua County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Alachua County, Florida. Day-to-day duties: • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn What we are looking for: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
