Great opportunity: we are hiring a meat cutter in Archer County, Texas. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. The role involves weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
