Turning centre operator — Sheffield

Vacancy available: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Sheffield, England. You will work on the CNC turning shop floor. You should have: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges On a typical shift you will change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer £2,600 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
