Now hiring: lathe programmer-operator (Vermont)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Addison County, Vermont. The job is in a precision engineering workshop. You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred The role involves set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles.
