Requirements: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges The role involves watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting.
