Day to day you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Six days a week, one day off.
