Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigger in Jorhat, Assam. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles The role involves tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use.
