Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Peterborough, England. The job is on a bridge and infrastructure project. On a typical shift you will follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins. What we are looking for: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
