Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Lamb County, Texas. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals Your main tasks: • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines 1+ years on the tools preferred.
