Core maker — Rano

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Rano, Kano State. The job is at a busy iron foundry. The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings We offer ₦6,500 per day plus benefits.
