Now hiring: we are hiring a carpenter in Baksa, Assam. Day-to-day duties: • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together Requirements: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Six days a week, one day off.
